Symptom first, fix second

Forum rules and terms of use

This is a technical space attached to a product, and the rules exist to keep it useful rather than to keep it quiet. Most of them come down to protecting other people's credentials and keeping threads searchable. Using the forum means accepting what follows.

What this forum is for

Diagnosing faults, explaining mechanism, and recording fixes so the next person with the same symptom finds them. Threads that do that are welcome even when they are long, messy, or ultimately unresolved. Threads that are advertisements wearing a question mark are removed without much ceremony.

Credentials never go in a post

Do not post a username, a password, a full playlist URL, or a portal address with identifying detail attached. We edit these on sight, but editing happens after publication and the internet is faster than moderation. If you have already posted one, say so in the thread and request a reissue immediately rather than deleting quietly and hoping.

No trading lines between members

Offering, swapping, or selling credentials to other members is not permitted here, and posts doing it are removed. Beyond the rule itself, it is a practical disaster: a shared line means two people fighting over one stream and two irreproducible fault reports landing in the same week.

Why a fix from one thread may not apply to yours

Most answers here are written out of one person's setup: their app, their box, their host, their evening. That is exactly what makes them worth reading and exactly why copying a fix unchecked can cost you a working configuration. Before you act on a thread, confirm the poster had your delivery format and your symptom, and write down what you are about to change so you can put it back. Where an answer is source-side fact rather than somebody's experience, it will say so plainly and it will not ask you to change three things at once.

Moderation, in plain terms

We edit posts containing credentials, merge duplicate threads on the same symptom, move commercial questions out, and close threads that have turned into arguments. We do not edit a member's technical conclusion because we disagree with it. If a thread of yours is changed, the reason is stated in it.

Account matters are not handled in threads

Expiry, reissues, MAC re-binding, orders, and anything involving a figure are handled by support or on the shop, and posting them here delays you rather than speeding you up. A thread cannot authenticate you, and nobody in a public forum should be trying to. Use the contact page to work out which channel you actually need.

Questions

Can I link to my own guide or video?

Yes, if it answers the question in the thread and you say plainly that it is yours. Drive-by links with no explanation are treated as promotion and removed.

Why was my thread merged?

Because an existing thread covers the same symptom and split discussions leave both halves useless to the next reader. The merge note points at the thread your replies moved into.

Still stuck after all that?

Send the channel, the device and the app you are using and we will look at the line itself.
